The European Junior Golf Tour (EJGT) was originally developed and staged in 2000 by Golf Professional Roger Shutt, based on a similar format used by the Junior World International tournament in the USA. The Tour in its inaugural year attracted over 400 competitors from Europe and the USA. Many of these junior competitors have now gone on to success as International Amateurs and winners on the European Tour.
The TommyT Junior Golf Tour was created by Roger in 2011 specifically for young golfers aged from 3-11 years. It has had three successful years since its conception and has now grown to become a formidable nationwide junior golf tour in the UK.
However, a clear progression path was needed for these younger golfers to develop their game further as they become teenagers and more accomplished players. With this in mind the time is now right to re-launch the EJGT in 2014 with The TommyT Junior Tour to act as a feeder to the EJGT.
The Tours management team offices are based in the centre of Chester.
The Tour relies solely on membership fees, entry fees, donations and sponsorship to run the Tour successfully and professionally.
